PK Party

I've been getting my friends involved with my PK practices now. I get no free time, so I end up practicing in front of them. My best friend Kasey is Wiccan and is totally into that sort of thing, so she gave the psiwheel a try and after a few minutes got it to make a full rotation. And just today, my friend Jon was giving it a whirl and Jeremy (another friend) was pissing him off, and Jon got angry enough that the psiwheel made two quick spins and stopped.

...now if only I was making as quick of progress as my friends were.

It's really frustrating. I can make the psiwheel move without glass, but it won't mean anything to me until I can move it while it's under a glass, because then my results will be secure and I won't have any way to question them. Right now, I'm blaming every movement on some sort of tremor or draft, probably because my lack of progress is a bit discouraging.

I warned you, I'm impatient.

But I know the rule, just keep practicing, which I plan to. Hopefully I'll be able to move the psiwheel soon enough.

Burn Baby

So, I started practicing when I came home from school today and was having pretty decent success. I decided I'd give trancing a go and listened to some trance music (from www.di.fm) and started feeling really relaxed. I began practicing with the psiwheel again while I was listening to it and was getting really good results, then my mom bursts in the house (with the dogs raising all hell behind her) and hits me over the head with a rolled up piece of paper. It was playful, but it broke my trance nonetheless and I got no results afterward.

I was trying to practice later and was getting no results, and began to get very frustrated. At this point, the depression side of my manic depressive disorder (yeah, I'm just that open) started kicking in and I gave up completely, actually burning my psiwheel and taping it. <_< So, I uploaded it for all you frustrated PKers so you don't have to go and burn your own psiwheel. Just watch me burn mine. =)

Psiwheel Video

I was practicing with the psiwheel some more today, and although I was having more luck yesterday than today, I figured I'd make a video of the progress I've made over the past two or three days. Actually, my girlfriend has never seen psionics in action, so she wanted the video. But you all are free to watch it as well. =)

Screw You, Glass

I finished my CLCs for Chemistry and Kasey left, and since I was bored, I decided to give the psiwheel another try. I spun it a little without a glass over it, then decided to give it a try. I put a clear wine glass over it and let the currents settle down, then once the psiwheel was still, I cupped my hands around the glass and started to try to move it. It was really as if my psi was the psiwheel, not as if I was trying to push it with my psi, which was amazing. And then it moved! It only moved about a centimeter, maybe a little bit less, but it moved in the direction I was moving it with my psi and stopped when I stopped it. There were no tremors either, my arms were perfectly still and nobody was walking nearby, or even in the entire house to my knowledge. Yes! Yes yes yes! If I keep going at this rate, I definitely ought to be able to move at least the psiwheel confidently by the end of my junior year for my graduation project! Screw you, glass, you're not stopping me! =)

Psiwheel Semi-success

I was having trouble focusing on homework, so I decided I'd work on my graduation project for a bit, which is, of course, about psionics. I gave spinning the psiwheel a try, and was actually doing a great job. It spun where I wanted to, which was really encouraging. As soon as I put a glass over it, though, I can't move it at all. I was wondering whether it was just wind moving the psiwheel so I let it go by itself without the glass for a bit, and it was still, which is a good sign. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing to be able to get it down with the glass overtop.

Better Than Safety Ed.

First of all, Safety Ed. is quite possibly the most boring class ever created. Necessary, applicable, whatever, it doesn't matter. It's terribly boring, and there's not enough material to last the entire 80 minutes that our block schedule allows the class, so we have up to 15 minutes at the end of the class to sit and stare at the clock, waiting desperately for the bell to ring so we can go to lunch.

So, rather than wasting my life doing that (my patience has been wearing thin for the past few weeks as it is, so it gave me something to do), I attempted to have an OBE. I'll be honest, I started it while a group was giving a presentation, so I had about a half hour on my hands. Tsk tsk, I know, but onward anyway. I started focusing on my feet first and sort of put each part of my body to sleep, skipping over my torso to my arms and doing my torso and head last. My body became really heavy and I started to hear or feel a heavy, low buzzing that took the foreground from the chatter of my classmates. My mind began to swim and my body felt light as air and heavy as stone at the same time, like it was separating. I'm not sure if that's how an OBE is supposed to feel like (I've only had one before, and that was when I was quite young), but it was certainly interesting. Unfortunately, somebody screamed in the background and I snapped back to my body, so I'll have to try again when I have more peace and thus more chance of succeeding.

Fork Bending

Okay, so a few people have requested me to post how I bend forks, so I'll give this a go.

I found it easier to meditate my first time. Just take 10 minutes out of your time to just remove all distractions, TV, people, music, even making it dark can help. I left one light on and sort of stared at it until it became blurry, letting my eyes float in and out of focus and letting my mind loosen itself. I tend to carry a lot of stress, which is not what you want when you're bending. Meditating can help that, but the more stressed you are, the longer you ought to meditate. After some practice, you might find that meditating is no longer necessary, you might not. It all depends on what works for you.

After that, I take the fork and just sort of focus on sending energy into it, feeling around it with my psi and almost letting it become an extension of my own body. I didn't do enough of that or meditating the last time I tried to bend a fork (I also had company, so it was a bit odd), so I wasn't quite successful. These are very important beginning steps. Once you do that, just hold the fork and sort of distract yourself, but keep the fork in the back of your mind and keep sending energy into it. After a bit (the time differs for everybody, it took me about 20 minutes my first time), the fork should soften. It'll take on a recognizable feel, like warm taffy (I send warm psi though, so the warm part might have to do with that), and once you've reached that part, go ahead and make whatever crazy shapes you want! Be sure to keep your concentration focused a bit away from the fork though, because if you get too excited than it's likely to harden on you again, which is really annoying and quite deterring.

Well, that's how I do it. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I'll get back to you. Good luck with your bending! =)

Stupid Forks

So, I tried to bend a fork today. Meditated for a few minutes (or tried to, my concentration has been shot lately), then gave bending it a try. I finally softened the handle and started to bend it, but it suddenly hardened on me again, which was a bit agitating. I went for the tongs next, but couldn't concentrate anymore and gave up after a bit. I should probably stick with constructs for a bit, but I have a habit of jumping right in. =) Oh well, constructs it is from now on.

Silverware and Psiwheels

Well, I was attempting to move the psiwheel last night (figured I'd jump right into telekinesis, I have no patience xD) and I think I moved it a bit, but I didn't have a cover over it so I can't be 100% sure. Once I get more comfortable with it, I'll try moving it in different directions on command so my results are more solid.

Also, I'm thinking of getting back into silverware bending.

Those are pics of the silverware I've bent in the past, and hopefully I can get right back into it, unlike the bit of trouble I had when I tried psiballs again.

Moving

Well, I heard from a little birdy that you can post comments here without signing up for anything, so it seemed like a smart move to take my psi blog and move it over here so all you psion's can leave your comments here. =D My old psi blog (poor thing, shot down after only a few days...) can be found at www.xanga.com/Hitsumei_Ghost
